Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AgentNotebook (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit this website. It applies to all visitors and is written to meet our obligations under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent UK data protection law.

Data controller

AgentNotebook is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. We decide why and how your data is processed. If you have any question about this policy or want to exercise your rights, use our contact form and your request will reach our team directly.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide directly. When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, the reason for contact, and the content of your message.
  • Usage data collected automatically. With your consent, we collect aggregated analytics such as pages viewed, referring source, approximate (city-level) location derived from your IP address, device type, and browser. We do not store your full IP address for our own analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small number of cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them.

How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and feedback you send through the contact form.
  • To measure how the site is used so we can improve our tutorials and fix broken content.
  • To keep the site secure and to detect, prevent, and investigate abuse.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Legal bases for processing

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for analytics cookies and the related usage data. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for responding to messages you send us and for keeping the site secure, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law.

Sharing and disclosure

We share data only with processors who help us run the site, and only to the extent necessary. These include our hosting and infrastructure provider, our analytics provider (Google Analytics), and the email provider that delivers contact-form messages to us. Each acts under a data processing agreement and may only use the data on our instructions. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

International transfers

Some of our processors are located outside the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, so your data continues to receive an equivalent level of protection.

Data retention

We keep contact-form messages for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, and no longer than 24 months unless a longer period is legally required. Aggregated analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. After these periods data is deleted or fully anonymized.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
  • request portability of data you provided to us;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing; and
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, use our contact form. We will respond within one month as required by the GDPR.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for professional and adult audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
